Meadowlands Racetrack to start offering totally legal sports betting services on July 14th
The Meadowlands Racetrack has released a press release where they announce that they will start offering legal online sports betting services in 10 days – on July 14th. This is actually a day sooner than it was previously expected.
Just couple of days ago Jeff Gural, who is the operator of Meadowlands Racetrack, announced that they will be opening Meadowlands first legal sportsbook on July 15th. On Monday Jason Settlemoir (general manager of the racetrack) told NorthJersey.com news reporters that the actual opening date is on July 14.
“The timing (of opening the sports betting service service for Meadowland residents) is a lot better and in correlation with one of our biggest race days, the Meadowlands Pace,” told Settlemoir to NorthJersey.com reporters.
The Victory Sports Bar and Club will open its doors at 9:30 am to “dignitaries” so the placing of bets could finally begin. Little bit later, at 11 am, Meadowlands Racetrack will be opened to public – club will start accepting wagers to college and professional sports.
Meadowlands Racetrack has partnered with Betfair. This international mega bookmaker will be offering in-house odds along with other services for clubs patrons.
Meadowlands is joining Atlantic City casinos Ocean Resort Casino and Borgata along with Monmouth Park as the only properties to offer regulated sports betting in New Jersey so far.
