Jarome Iginla is known as one of the nicest guys in the NHL. It is no secret that majority of hockey players are courteous, good people and contribute to worthy causes, often donating their hard earned money to charities.
For years now Iginla has donated 2000 dollars for each goal scored to charity organization Kidsport. This charity supports kids who would like to participate in playing sports but their families don’t have enough money.
Jarome Iginla made headlines also in 2002 when Olympics were held in Salt Lake City. While speaking to his fans Iginla found out that they were sleeping in their car just outside of the hotel. Hockey star stepped away for a couple of minutes and when he came back, he informed the fans that they can stay the night at the hotel because he just paid for the room. Iginla was staying at the same hotel with his wife and kids.
He is also running Jarome Iginla Hockey School. All the profits are donated to the Diabetes Research Association. Just what a guy!
