Not The Only Significant Change

In 2021, Intertops, a company that had announced its 25th birthday campaign, surprised many with a rebranding. Since December 1st, visitors to the Intertops website have been greeted with the new name, “Everygame,” but the overall design and layout remain unchanged. The company has assured its customers that the ownership and management team will remain the same. However, the rebranding is just the beginning of many upcoming changes.

Intertops plans to introduce a new selection of games, make technical improvements to the site, and more. Although the name has changed, the website’s color scheme, design, and navigation remain unchanged. Both Casino Red and Casino Classic are still accessible as separate entities.

The recent departure of Everygame, formerly known as Intertops, from the German gambling market marks a significant change for the brand. Founded in 1983 as a German bookmaker operating from the United Kingdom, Intertops quickly became popular for offering better odds and prices to German bettors, who were subject to high tax rates and poor odds under the country’s sports betting monopoly. After moving to Austria in 1992, the brand continued to serve German gamblers for over 30 years until recent changes in licensing practices and laws forced it to exit the market.

Intertops was known for being a pioneering brand, credited with being the first sportsbook to take a bet over the internet in January 1996 and launching the first mobile betting application in 2000, long before mobile devices became common. Much of the brand’s success has been attributed to Simon Noble, its primary driving force, who also spearheaded the revival of Pinnacle Sportsbook.

Although current German customers will need to withdraw their funds and close their accounts, Everygame plans to introduce a new live betting platform and refresh its casino games to improve the sports betting experience for users. Despite the name change, Intertops will be remembered as a trailblazer and loyal players are likely to continue referring to it by its original name.
